I was fed up with middlemen & poorly run factories distorting pricing, failing to control quality and allowing intellectual property (IP) to be knocked off, so I decided to do something about it by forming PassageMaker. Think of PassageMaker as your “black box” and “quality gate” in China. Simply put, products are delivered to our China facility from your approved sub suppliers and then final assembly, inspection & packaging takes place under our roof. As the sub suppliers don’t see the finished product, their ability to steal ideas and designs is limited. While final assembly is taking place at PassageMaker we can also inspect the goods to confirm quality.

Maximum savings are achieved because each item on the Bill of Material (BOM) can be quoted at a national level from vendors across China. Because the labor and material costs of final assembly/inspection/packaging are roughly the same if performed by PassageMaker vs. handled by your sub supplier, there are no major additional costs to client for engaging PassageMaker, yet the benefits of as the “black box” and “quality gate” are numerous.

1. We put a warranty on our work. Most trading companies, brokers and even manufacturers in China may not offer a warranty and even if they do, they may disappear before you can make a claim. Founded in 2002, PassageMaker has a successful track record and is happy to provide references.
2. We have the confidence to provide a warranty because every assembly / inspection project utilizes an industry-leading “Product Quality Manual (PQM)” which defines in intimate detail the quality standards, inspection methods and the assembly process.
