Whitwell C. Kelly
Director of Global Sales
Whit has over 20 years of experience in quality and lead-time intensive markets like the North American automotive industry. Formerly CEO of Salem Vent International, Inc. (SVI), which long ago was PassageMaker’s first customer. Whit received his BA from Roanoke College in International Relations and his MBA at the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business, where he focused on operations. Whit has been working in Asia since 1994, including periods living in Singapore and Taiwan. He makes regular trips to the People’s Republic of China. Whit now heads PassageMaker North America (PMNA) and is responsible for PassageMaker’s global sales. At the time of writing we have sales teams servicing China, USA, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia/NZ, Brazil and India. Whit is dedicated to promoting the PassageMaker Model of Trust & Transparency. He speaks Mandarin and is based in Salem, VA, USA.


Andrea Martins
Andrea Martins is a Brazilian national with 25 years of living and working experience in China. From 1994-2004, she worked for in Beijing for Odebrecht, the Brazilian Embassy, PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting Services and SOHOCHINA. Currently, Andrea is based in Brazil and serves as both executive director to OverChina Consulting Services and exclusive Service Representative for PassageMaker.
Andrea had led numerous successful projects for many Brazilian companies in China and Asia. Her experience varies from the garment industry, to scientific instruments and consumer goods. Andrea graduated from Wellesley College and majored in Political Science and China Studies.

Marc René Brzezinka
Marc joined the PassageMaker Team in October 2009. He is currently finishing his bachelors degree in International Business Administration with concentration in Marketing and Finance in Germany and France. In 2006, he started his first retail company, selling outdoor brands imported from Latin America. In late 2008, he began a second company dealing mainly with online shop management and online distribution. At university, he is chairman of the student business consulting group and co-founder of the investment club. Marc speaks English, German, and French. Based in Germany with frequent travels to the North America, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

Julien Roger

Co-founder & Co-owner, China Quality Focus
Before moving to China and focusing on the China Inspection and Factory Auditing business in 2005, Julien was engaged in business development on behalf of a European distributor of IP (Intellectual Property / IP core) & semiconductor design tools servicing European blue-chip clients such as Schneider, Samsung, Philips, Airbus and Renault. Earlier work experience was with IBM in Paris. While working with these world class clients and employers, he gained a strong sense of accountability and a philosophy about quality.
In 2007, sensing an opportunity in the China market to provide world class Quality and Auditing services to demanding global buyers, Julien gathered some investors and started China Quality Focus with few clients and a handful of employees in Shenzhen China. Today the operation is growing rapidly and has inspectors on-the-ground in all major China production centers and is servicing clients from every major country and industry. Supply chains serviced include Auchan, Microsoft, L’oreal, Shiseido, Walt Disney, Peugeot, Black & Decker, Leroy Merlin, Agatha, Yves Rocher, Coca-Cola etc. Julien has a master’s degree from CERAM, European Graduate School of Business in Nice, France as well as a MBA from the Asian Institute of Technology at Thamasat University in Bangkok, Thailand. Based full time in China, he is a speaker of French, English, Chinese, Thai and German and a player of soccer, tennis, ping pong and badminton.

Alberto Galeana García-Cuervo
Alberto comes to us all the way from Mexico City, Mexico. At PassageMaker, Alberto is responsible for managing our Spanish Language sales and marketing initiatives. His studies included International Relations at Roanoke College in the US and exchange programs at the University of Tartu in Estonia and La Sorbonne in France. Alberto speaks English, Spanish, and French. Based in North America with frequent travels to China and Latin America.


David Denny
David Denny has over 27 years of working with companies on evaluating needs, setting goals and implementing solutions. David has worked across enterprise sizes from startups to Fortune 100 companies. He has over 18 years of international experience and is currently a key principal in a developing global network of organizations working with entrepreneurs, emerging and small businesses.
David has experience in industrial development, economic development and industrial applications. He has been involved with quality measurement and QA/QC in and out of the industrial sector through participation in standards committees of ASTM (American Society of Testing Materials) and through his current work with CMM (coordinate measuring machine) simulation software in industrial settings. David currently is active in assisting industrial customers in the automotive, aerospace and energy sectors with offline, robotic and work cell simulation software as a means to gain efficiencies, reduce development time/costs and to improve quality. David is also well versed on international logistics and the benefits of utilizing foreign trade zones and customs bonded warehouses to move goods internationally.

Dan Welygan
(serving Oregon and Washington)
Originally from Minnesota, Dan moved to China and lived, worked, and studied there for nearly 6 years. Dan worked as PassageMaker’s Director of Sourcing and Research from 2003 – 2007, managing an extensive range of sourcing feasibility studies and project work, where he worked closely with international clients and suppliers across China. He has worked on everything from automotive parts to zinc-plated decorations, computer servers to safety equipment. Dan obtained his PMP certification in March 2009. He speaks English, Chinese, Spanish, and Korean. Based in Bellevue, Washington.
I was fed up with middlemen & poorly run factories distorting pricing, failing to control quality and allowing intellectual property (IP) to be knocked off, so I decided to do something about it.
